Urban Family Council exists to build healthy families by
Providing education about, and advocating for, life, marriage and family.
By partnering with businesses, schools, churches, donors, and government agencies, Urban Family Council provides diverse media and educational services that increase awareness of the benefits of healthy relationships, family, and marriage as an achievable, positive social standard for the communities we serve.

The December
2008 mission emphasis will feature the PRESBYTERIAN CHILDREN’S VILLAGE
MISSION
The Presbyterian Children’s Village started from a dream 130 years ago as an Orphanage with the philosophy to care for orphans and poor children. Today the mission is to promote the healing of spirits of children, families and communities broken by violence, addiction, poverty, mental illness, racism and other serious societal problems.
VISION:
In pursuit of this mission, founded in the Judeo-Christian tradition and based on a Christian commitment to be a service to others, PCV will provide programs of the highest quality to children, families and communities, including, but not limited to social services, mental/behavioral health services, education, pastoral care, medical and other forms of care as needed.
SERVICES:
This mission will be provided through fully licensed, approved and accredited programs as appropriate. Furthermore, PCV has in place a performance improvement program, which includes ongoing monitoring and evaluation of organizational effectiveness, customer satisfaction and the outcomes of care and services.
GOALS:
PVC will explore opportunities to develop and implement new program ventures consistent with the mission and purpose of the organization and if necessary staffing, funding and facilities can be marshaled, to develop and maintain quality services.
VALUES:
All PCV services will:
- Be provided without regard to race, color, creed, religion, gender, national origin, ethnic background, sexual orientation or disability
- Foster and appreciation for the unique worth and dignity of each child and family.
- Assist each child to develop to his or her full potential.
- Be family focused, community oriented and culturally competent.
- Be provided to children and families requiring support and assistance.
